Intro

At this point, many musicians have probably heard of NFTs.  In the past few months alone Billboard has showcased a number of articles on NFTs/Web3 music.  Yet, the Web3 music space has not yet blown up.  It is heating up, but not yet on fire, so to speak.  There are a number of reasons why this is the case, but the one that we keep coming back to is the high barrier to entry/steep learning curve.  While the Web3 music space is open to any musician/artist, the amount of work it takes to actually enter can be a huge deterrent.

After navigating the space in the span of one year, we (TAROT and Arella) have gotten to a place where we feel as though we have a deep understanding of Web3 music and a mastery over the tools available to artists. We believe this is a space where musicians can discover and connect with their true fans and learn how to become the CEO of their music career. As it stands there are very few formal onboarding ramps for musicians to enter Web3, and many require an application process. We fully support and believe in the existing programs available to artists, but we want to do more.  We want to break down these barriers and get everyone hip on Web3 music and how it can really impact a musician’s career!

Origin and Development

We met in March at an early Good Karma Records showcase and immediately hit it off.  Both of us sort of knew that our paths were destined to cross again.  We kept eyes on each other across the Web3 space and kept our connection as we both grew and found our homes in the community.  In October, TAROT posted a tweet about wanting to do more music artist onboarding in Web3.  Little did she know, I was already writing out a ridiculous amount of Web2→ Web3 onboarding materials for musicians and coaching several artists in the space for free.  We immediately connected in our DMs and Soul Tribe Solutions was born.  Over the past few months, we have been grinding to build out our vision for Web2→ Web3 musician onboarding.

Soul Tribe Solutions

Today we are proud to announce Soul Tribe Solutions formally.  Our vision for this project is to support musicians both in Web2 and Web3 as they navigate this new opportunity in music.  We hope to do this in two ways– intensive onboarding programs and consultations.  In the new year (2023), we will be launching a 4-week intensive onboarding program specifically designed for Web2 and “new to Web3” musicians.  This program will cover all the basics of Web3 music from setting up a wallet to minting your first project and everything in between!

Participants of this program will get access to:

• weekly live onboarding class (as a group and held virtually)

• weekly 1-1 or 2-1 private consult to answer any specific questions and fill in any gaps

• access to our entire course catalog of Web3/Music NFT 101 onboarding materials/lessons

• unlimited contact with us via telegram for all those little things that come up as you explore the space

• copywriting and content support

• support for organizing and executing your first NFT project including listening parties, mirror articles/interviews, etc

We understand that not all music artists need this basic level of education so the second vein of this project is consultations.  We are ready to meet you where you are in your Web3 journey and advise you on how to keep moving forward!  Whether you are having trouble conceptualizing your next project or wish to explore something different (*cough cough* Generative NFTs? Dynamic membership tokens?) we have got you covered.  We have tried it all at this point and have a vast network to link you to the support/tools you will need. We are going to offer 1-1 and 2-1 sessions throughout the day to make ourselves available to the Web2 and Web3 music communities.  Meet with us once or meet with us weekly, it is up to you, but we are here to help!

Hopes and Dreams

Our goal is to open the doors for as many musicians to enter/leverage Web3 as possible. As cliche as it is, Gandhi said “be the change you want to see in the world.” We want to be the change that lowers the barrier to entry by providing the structure and support artists need to get into Web3 and flourish.  While we are only a two-person team at this time, we hope that this project will continue to grow and expand so that all musicians have the opportunity to partake in the next wave of the music industry.  Our consultation books open in January 2023 and our intensive onboarding program launches in February 2023.
